#53 - Kata Viewpoint

For the three times I've visited Phuket (2004, 2007 and 2008), I've always come to Kata ViewPoint. The view is spectacular and the scene so peaceful. The drawback is that it is not accesible since it is perced way up high on some hill.

And yeah, I always got there on some rented bike.

#48 - Sleeping Underneath the Stars

My tent where I camped at 2,000m above sea level.

#47 - Beyond the Shade

At Gili Trawangan, Lombok. The sun was really baking and though the sea was tempting, I did not want to swim for the risk of getting a bad sunburn.

#46 - Riders Ride!

At Ubud, Monkey Forest Road - Bali.

Never missed a chance to rent a bike to explore the island by yourself. In this case, I rented the YAMAHA 150cc. Unlike Phuket, the road on Bali was more confusing and it felt really big.

#39 - What Lies Beyond

What lies beyond is actually one of the most infamous temple in Kuta, Bali and that is Tanah Lot. The temple that seems to be built aloof on an island.

#35 - Reaching For Heaven

The final stop for my 1st half-marathon race that is the SAFRA Bay Run. Also got my first running injury.

The skies were beautiful but the field was actually littered with rubbish. So I pointed the camera to the skies and got the shot.

#25 - Dos and Donts

#24 - Are You Looking At Me?

#12 - Peekaboo

#11 - The Legong Dance

What was unique about the Legong Dance was that the movement was very quick and sharp. Also the dancers barely blinked their eyes throughout the entirety of the show.

#10 - Perfect Symmetry

#09 - Bendy Fingers

#08 - Are You Flirting With Me?

#07 - Path to the Lake Temple

#06 - Pedal Powered

I saw this man outside the Ulu Danu Bratan Temple, Bali premises pedalling on the contraption to the entertainment of the kids.
I remembered as a child, we had a similar machination that costs 20cents per ride that is accompanied by a blaring background music.
Those were the days.

#05 - Ticket For One

Ubud is the cultural district of Bali. Told myself to catch the infamous Bali dance before I leave for Kuta the day after. Never realised there was many types of performances but the one I had in mind was the Legong Dance.

The ticket cost me Rp50,000.

#04 - Volcano Within A Volcano

High up the mountain, you can only hear the howls of the wind.

#03 - On Cloud 9

My favourite seat on an airplane;- the window seat. On an AirAsia flight enroute to Phuket for my 1st International Marathon - the 3rd Laguna Phuket International Marathon.
My body was still wrecked with pain and lethargy after climbing 2 volcanoes and running my first Sundown Marathon.
The marathon was to be my final task.
Conquered it for a new personal best for 2008 at a sub-6h timing.

#02 - It Always Starts Easy

We started off from Sembalun.

My trekking group; Mas Basri the porter, and the couple Anya and Brian. I remembered getting so excited at the prospect of climbing my first volcano and mountain that is 3000m + in elevation.

Hours later, the excitement turned into agony as the scramble to the summit became more difficult.
